French Press: Classic and Enjoyable

The French Press is one of the most classic and widely used methods of brewing coffee. Its ease of use and delightful results have made it an essential part of our lives for years. As one of the most beloved ways to brew coffee at home, the French Press consistently delivers a rich and flavorful coffee experience.

Grind Your Coffee.

Grind 30 grams of coffee beans to a coarse consistency.

Tip: You should be able to easily feel the coffee particles with your fingers.

Prepare the French Press.

Fill the French Press with hot water to warm it up. This step makes the brewing process smoother and helps keep your coffee hot. After a moment, pour out the water and add the ground coffee to the French Press. Place it on your scale and reset it to zero.

Prepare the Water.

Boil your kettle and let it sit for 1 minute to cool to 94°C. If you have a temperature-controlled kettle, you can set it directly to 94°C.

Start Brewing.

Slowly pour water over the coffee grounds until your scale shows 500 ml, ensuring all the coffee is saturated. Set your timer for 4 minutes and start it.

Tip: Check around the French Press to make sure all the coffee grounds are fully wet. If you see any dry spots, pour a bit more water over those areas.

Brewing Process.

After adding the water to reach 500 ml, gently place the lid on the French Press without plunging. When the 4 minutes are up, remove the lid, stir the coffee on the surface 3-4 times, and then gently place the lid back on.

Press Time!

After 6 minutes, slowly start pressing the plunger down.

Tip: If you find it difficult to press, your coffee may be ground too finely. After brewing, pour the coffee into another carafe. This will stop the brewing process and prevent any bitter flavors from developing.

Your coffee is ready! Now enjoy sipping and savoring the taste of this classic brewing method.

Note: Don’t forget to clean all the tools you used after brewing. Clean equipment ensures a fresh and pure taste with every brew.
